NATÁLIE GROSSMANNOVÁ

FLUTE FACULTY

Natálie Grossmannová was born in Ostrava, Czech Republic. She began her musical studies in piano and won prizes in several competitions. She moved to Portugal at the age of nine, and at twelve she enrolled at the Professional School of Arts of Mirandela, in the transverse flute class of Professor Inês Fernandes. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from the Lisbon School of Music, where she studied flute with Professor Olavo Barros.

She later studied flute with Mirjam Nastasi and piccolo with Jutta Pulcini at the Freiburg University of Music in Germany, where she completed the Künstlerische Ausbildung (Artistic Training Program). Upon returning to Portugal, she continued her studies in flute with Nuno Inácio at the National Academy for Orchestra.

As a freelancer, she has collaborated with the Algarve Orchestra, the Sintra Orchestra, the Lisbon Metropolitan Orchestra, the Portuguese Symphony Orchestra, and the Portuguese Chamber Orchestra, among others. She worked regularly with the Cascais and Oeiras Chamber Orchestra between 2010 and 2020 and, since 2020, has collaborated with the Sintra Municipal Orchestra – D. Fernando II. She has performed as a soloist with the ESML Chamber Orchestra, the Sintra Orchestra, and the Cascais and Oeiras Chamber Orchestra, as well as in numerous chamber music concerts.

Her pedagogical work includes students who have won prizes in competitions. She regularly coaches orchestral sections in training courses, as well as chamber music groups. She holds a Master’s degree in Music Education from ESML and currently teaches transverse flute at the D. Dinis Music Conservatory and at the Lisbon Music Academy.
