DIOGO ANDRADE

GUITAR FACULTY

During the last years Diogo Andrade has performed solo and chamber recitals in Portugal, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Germany, and the Netherlands. He was awarded in national and international competitions and participated in several festivals. Diogo collaborated with RTP1, Antena 2, Radio Punto and Limbug1. He performed in masterclasses with renowned professors such as Dejan Ivanović, Michel Sadanowsky, Margarita Escarpa, Jéremy Jouve, Judicael Perroy, Lorenzo Micheli, Andrea de Vitis, Goran Krivokapić, Zoran Dukić, Jérôme Ducharme, Marcin Dylla and Leo Brouwer. Diogo began his studies in classical guitar at the Conservatório de Música de São José in Guarda, studying with Professor Hugo Simões. In 2013 he graduated from the conservatory with the highest honors. Mr. Andrade holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the Conservatorium Maastricht, where he studied with the prestigious Maestro Carlo Marchione and Professor Roman Krejći. He was awarded the Merit Scholarship of the Conservatorium Maastricht Foundation (2015/2016). He is currently finishing a Master’s in Music Education and Pedagogy at Universidade de Aveiro under the guidance of Professor Pedro Rodrigues. Diogo Andrade plays guitars of the Greek luthier Alkis Efthimiadis and uses D'Addario / Savarez strings.
